On May 20, Emerald People's Utility District (EPUD) General Manager Kyle Roadman and Board President Charles Kimball appeared on KPNW's Wake Up Call with Bill Lundun on 1120 AM/93.7 FM KPNW. On the show, they discussed EPUD's existing Short Mountain Power Plant and the impact the County's planned Integrated Materials and Energy Recovery Facility (IMERF) project will have on it. Included in the discussion, the County's deliberate exclusion of EPUD from the IMERF discussions, despite a successful 30-year partnership at Short Mountain, and the potential financial impact to Lane County residents and, in particular, EPUD customers.
